It’s coming up to the end of May. I am so excited to be going into summer. Warm weather has arrived a bit early this year. I just spent the past two weeks buying plants for the yard and planting. In a plural family, there’s lots of hands for helping and it’s very satisfying to be able to give your children a job and have them do it in a competent, effective manner. That’s what happened with planting this year. Usually, I’ve taken on the bulk of the work when it comes to planting, but this year I was able to manage while the kids did a lot of the work. Needless to say, the yard looks and feels wonderful. We had Mother’s Day brunch on the patio which was a nice culmination to the weekend of work. 🙂 In plural life, women are able to specialize because of the added support of other ladies (and additional children) in the home. For example, I would have never been able to take on that big of a project if I hadn’t had help with the Saturday cleaning I usually do. Meals were taken care of, baby was looked after, and my cleaning done. I was freed up to get the job done. Wonderful! Plural life is a very interdependent system which works well if women are able to step outside of their little circle and love and support the “rest of” the family. And it’s the serving, supporting, and working with each other that builds love, confidence, and respect for each other.
It’s been a long time since I’ve written anything here. I’ve been “dried up” for words, I guess. I’m a moody creature in some ways. This affects my creativity to a great extent, which in turn makes it so I can’t easily express myself through writing. I can’t promise a plethora of posts here. My words come when and how they come. But through the times where I feel capable, my words seem to flow easily. I’ll keep posting as long as I have words to express my thoughts.
